Montana enacted the Hemp and Cannabidiol Act in 2019, legalizing hemp cultivation and hemp-derived CBD products with ≤0.3% THC consistent with the 2018 Farm Bill. The Montana Department of Agriculture administers the hemp program. CBD products are legally available for sale and possession across the state.
